Hey, I'm Sophie Lin—a Taiwanese-American illustrator and visual designer based in Northern California. I love combining creativity and tech, working across illustration, photo editing, UI/UX, and generative AI to bring ideas to life in fun, thoughtful, and sometimes unexpected ways.

🎨 The Illustrator's Foundation

My creative path started with a passion for illustration and fine art. I’ve always been drawn to visual storytelling—designing characters, moods, and scenes that feel expressive and full of life. That foundation still shapes how I work today, whether I’m sketching by hand or building digital concepts.

📷 Expanding Into Visual Design

Over time, I picked up photography and photo editing, which helped sharpen my sense of composition, color, and lighting. I began creating visuals for social media, branding, and content projects—blending art direction with design to make images that are both clean and eye-catching.

🧠 Blending Art & Tech: UI/UX + Generative AI

Curious about how people interact with design, I earned the Google UX Certificate and got into UI/UX. That curiosity also led me into generative AI, where I now use tools like ComfyUI and Stable Diffusion to build visuals, streamline workflows, and even create custom chatbots.

Whether it's product mockups, interior concepts, or branded content, I love using these tools to enhance creativity—not replace it.

Right now, I’m working across illustration, branding, AI design, and creative tech. I enjoy projects that let me mix strategy with creativity—and I’m always excited to explore new ideas, figure out smarter workflows, or just make something cool that works.
